Welcome To 8th Grade Science and Sex Ed
Hi Everyone!
I am Mary Fitch, the 8th grade science and sex education teacher at Twin Hills Charter Middle School. I've been working hard to create engaging and interesting online classes that I think you'll enjoy and I'm excited about getting to know my new students, even if it is just online.
Feel free to contact me anytime at mfitch@twinhills.usd.org if you have any questions or concerns.
The first four days of school will involve Zoom meetings with each class period for half an hour each day. Student schedules can be found on AERIES or if you have problems, you can contact Dawn Salas in the office at 707-823-7446.
The schedule for the first 4 days is:
1st period 9:00-9:30 am
2nd period 9:45-10:15
3rd period 10:45-11:15
4th period 11:30-12:00 pm
5th period 1:00-1:30
6th period 1:45-2:15
I sent an email to all of my students at their Twin Hills email address giving them the code to join my Google Classrooms. Below is a list of all of my classes with the Google Classroom codes just in case you didn't get the email. To use these codes to get into a classroom, just go to classroom.google.com and log in with your school email and password. Again, contact the office if you don't have these. Then just use the code to get into your classes.
Students will receive an email through their Google Classroom giving them the information they will need to get into their science and sex ed Zooms next week.

Hi everyone!
I hope you are all happy and safe! I really miss you guys and I am in the process of setting up a youtube channel so I can make videos to keep in contact. Unfortunately, Youtube is overwhelmed right now and won't let me create a channel. Teachers are having a Zoom meeting tonight and hopefully I will get information about what is going on.
I have decided to cancel the science project at this time since so many of you are doing projects which involve test subjects and we don't know when we will be back in school. Of course you can always do experiments on your own. I am doing one to see if I really do need to refrigerate tortillas after the package has been opened. Not that exciting, but it will resolve an argument between myself and my husband.

You should really read the rest of the book. I realized you now everything about how people get pregnant, but nothing about STD's and contraception. READ THE BOOK!
